GoJuice is a small trailer with Banana Coffee and the best Acai bowls. A great start to the day and in the heart of Guiones.
Howlers - An American version of a hole in the wall Mexican joint that just happens to be open air, just off of the Guiones beach. It’s a favorite place for Happy Hour but they only do cash and there’s very limited seating. Great guacamole and margaritas.
Olo Alaia Surf & Brew - Popular local spot for a freshly baked empanadas or slice of banana cake. It has a great vibe with the best surfboards & paraphernalia in town.
Pura Pizza is an amazing NY style pizza place to grab a slice or two if you want a quick snack or meal on the run. There is no seating but they do have other baked dishes, Italian snacks and desserts to choose from. Delivery is also available.
Rosi’s Soda Tica is the best bang for your buck. Located in Guiones and serves traditional Costa Rican fare. Try a casado - black beans, rice, fried plantains, salad and tortilla with an optional entree- chicken, beef, pork, fish. They have banana pancakes and watermelon smoothies for breakfast. No reservations necessary.

Al Chile is a nice casual spot to grab some authentic fresh Mexican food. It has a great outdoor seating area, and it is a good place to take kids.
Blue Garza’s La Malacrianza (means bad bull) is within a short 15 min drive from Nosara Estates and boasts a great bar, wood-fired pizza and a mix of American, Costa Rican and seafood dishes. The calamari is to die for, and the service is excellent!
El Chivo is a Mexican restaurant located in Playa Pelada with a fun atmosphere. It has Taco Tuesdays, Red Lantern Wednesdays and Live Band Fridays. It’s a more pub style vibe and a great spot for good food and reasonable prices. Make sure to check out La Bodega next door for great breakfast, sandwiches and fresh fish.

Gabbies Place - Gabi’s large courtyard rancho provides cover and space for guests to comfortably shop, eat, and socialize. Family friendly.
Harmony Hotel is a located in Guiones inside the Harmony Boutique Hotel situated in a beautiful garden setting. It has an extensive juice/smoothie menu and a great lunch and dinner menu with fresh farm to table ingredients that include an extensive salad selection, a ceviche bar, bowls and rolls, pasta, and great selections for vegans and vegetarians, as well as a good kids menu.
Il Basilico is near the up-and-coming area of La Esperanza. The pizza and the atmosphere are terrific and they have live music throughout the week. They are great for pizza pick up as well on WhatsApp +506063235528.
Olga’s - Order the whole Red Snapper + Michelada (beer + lime), a Costa Rican must for lunch. No reservations required. Walk the beach path to #1 marker and follow the path — walk down the beach just past the blow hole and La Luna Restaurant.
Organico French Bakery is located on the main street in Guiones. It has wonderful pastries, breakfast items, organic juices, and the best breakfast burrito in town. Bonus: across the street is the Organico market which is one of the better grocery stores in town.
Pacifico Azul located in Guiones just past the Nomadic Hotel. It has great seafood and a casual environment. WhatsApp +506 8518 8035.

Chirriboca in Lagarta Lodge - The eco-lodge has its own private nature reserve with magnificent mangrove trees and boasts amazing views for sunset and the Nosara River below. Reservations via WhatsApp +506 8797 2525.
El Cielo is a newer restaurant located in La Esperanza. It has a chic atmosphere and a lighter Italian inspired menu.
Huacas inside the Tierra Magnifica hotel, not only has great food, but also one of the best cocktail and wine programs in the area. It sits atop a mountain, just a short drive from town with spectacular views and open-air dining.
La Brasa Argentinian Grill- If you are looking for a great steak prepared properly, this is the place. It’s a beautiful space and a meat- eaters paradise. Authentic wood-fire grill.
La Luna is an amazing spot to watch the sunset, and is one of the few places directly on the beach. They are located in Playa Pelada, and has a great food and cocktail menu. You will definitely need reservations, especially if you want to be there for sunset.
Le Stelle Restaurant and Wine Barsits inside the Astra Boutique Hotel and has a great vibe with delicious food and cocktails and a fun, chic atmosphere. It blends the elegance of classic gastronomy with enchanting Italian touches.
MamaGui is a newer restaurant located in the newly renovated El Pueblo Plaza in La Esperanza, just a few minutes away from Nosara. They specialize in authentic Italian dishes located on the ground floor, with tables set all over the Caribbean-vibe inspired terrace. Reservations a must.
Sendero Kitchen is newer to Nosara with a blend of casual and fine dining options, as well as a vibrant après surf scene. The menu offers the highest quality and freshest ingredients and is one of the higher end restaurants in town. The restaurant is also open from 6am to 9pm, as well as their Sendero coffee truck open from 6am to 2pm daily.

Coyol is a unique experience with amazing Greek food and an unmatched view. Get there for sunset and leave plenty of time for the drive up. It’s an adventure, but well worth the trek. It’s a fun structure with timber frame architecture, large windows and great black and white photos of Costa Ricans on the walls. They also have great outdoor seating to take advantage of the views. La Cosecha is a new restaurant owned and operated by one of our own Nosara Estates neighbors. It is located across from Bodhi Tree in the boutique hotel. It is only open in the high season Thursday-Saturday (reservations required) with a farm-to-date table, pre-set eight-course menu. It is an amazing treat with wonderfully inventive food, and you get up close and personal with the chef, Colin, who takes time to come out and speak to diners and walk you through his process.

The Market your neighborhood store for all of your essentials. Italian owned and stocked with great cheese and wine. Plenty of produce, quality meats, and anything else you would probably need during your stay. Ricardo was one of the first to develop this neighborhood. He set up the Market and really anchored the community.
Seekret Spot Gelateria is hidden behind the market. It has the best gelato and lots of flavors to choose from.
Airstream & Old Bus that have been converted to fun cafes. Stop by for a pastry or grab a coffee. They are just past the market (in Little Italy).
FARMER’S MARKET is on Tuesday from 9-12. It is located on the corner on the main road in Guiones. Make a left near La Negra and another left at the end of that street and it will be on the right a few hundred yards down.
